October 2013 Patriot Tour: Community shares laughs during night of comedy

War is no laughing matter, but every now and then, warriors need a good chuckle to remember what they're fighting for.

Active-duty service members, veterans and their families joined members of the community for a night of comedy and love of country during the Patriot Tour at the USO of North Carolina Jacksonville Center, Saturday.

"The combination of military and humor brings people out," said John Ligato, a former Marine, retired FBI agent and the host for the evening. "Service members love to laugh, and for two and a half hours, that's all they'll have to do."
